As a skilled and innovative designer, she has a natural affinity with construction and the use of materials, and a deep commitment to sustainable architecture and eco-friendly design.

Prior to establishing JDH Architects in 2004, Jayne worked with a number of international award-winning architectural firms, including Sir Norman Foster & Partners and 3-D Reid Architects.

Jayne’s local experience began in her student days where she gained post degree experience at Noel Bell Ridley Smith & Partners in Sydney, working on a diverse range of residential, commercial and heritage projects.

In 2004 Jayne established the Sydney based practice, JDH Architects. Over the last eight years JDH has gained a reputation among its clients and peers for excellence in design and for its pragmatic and innovative approach to ESD.

Jayne is committed to personal improvement and actively researches cutting-edge concepts and pedagogy to challenge and enhance the firm’s design capacity. She regularly attends industry conferences and is currently writing a handbook for educators exploring creative sustainable design solutions in response to the key requirements of learning.
