Project Description

St Francis Catholic College Edmondson Park

CLIENT

St Francis Catholic College, the newest Catholic College in the Diocese of Wollongong is under development at Edmondson Park. The master planning strategy is to develop the permanent buildings of the college across multiple stages over the next 10 years, with the final stage to include the removal of the current modular buildings. The campus has 385 students, and on completion will accommodate 1900 K -12 students, 140 full-time equivalent staff, an 80-place early learning centre with 14 staff, administration, library, multipurpose hall, amenities, playground, and 226 onsite car parking spaces.

RESULTS

The successful collaboration between numerous multiple stakeholders including the education consortium of the Catholic Education Office of Wollongong and Edmund Rice Education Australia, neighbours, developers and Urban Growth has produced a unique concept for the school. With the first of the permanent buildings in concept design, the learning environment will co-exist with nature and the community, acting as a didactic tool from which everyone can learn.
